No doubt they were cheaper, and also, why don't the 07 ones have the LED style back lights?

The interior of Durham's 05 Darts is slightly different - its more darker and the seat covers are different. Anyone know why this is?

I am persuming that Arriva are withdrawing their X21 (Durham - Newcaslte) as Go North East have announced that their X72 (Bishop Auckland - Newcastle via Durham Express) is being renumbered as X21 from the end of July 2007, and it would seem rather ridiculous if they were both still operating, not to mention confusing.

It didn't stop GNE starting the X1 though, did it!

Yes, but the only place both X1's meet is Newcastle/Gateshead. The Arriva X21 is Durham - Newcastle, and the GNE X21 will be Newcastle - Durham - Bishop Auckland! My guess is that they will withdraw it as I don't think any people use it, there is never a lot on when I get on it.

WooHoo - I was right about the X21 before I found out it was being withdrawn! Noticed that they have removed the brandings from the Darts. At least it will mean that more new buses will be used on other services rather than being kept for the X21 - the newer Darts have been used more frequently on the evening/Sunday service 56A (the one Durham do) for the past week - much better than the refurbished Plaxton Darts!!

I've seen that particular type of registration used on a Plaxton President belonging to Darlington (well it was the last time I was on it). Any particular reason?

T-AUA was used for a group of dealer stock DAFs. There are both Ikarus and Plaxton PRESTIGE bodies with registrations in this block
